About

I’m Austin Norris-Zhou, a full-stack software engineer currently working at Business Alliance Financial Services, building software solutions that enable financial institutions to implement commercial lending programs and manage their commercial loan portfolios.

I also assist in the UCLA Department of Earth, Planetary, and Space Sciences, helping with various satellite research missions studying space weather phenomena. I got my start working on the Electron Losses and Fields Investigation (ELFIN) mission as physics undergraduate, and now have the opportunity to mentor current students in space mission engineering, software development, and IT/systems administration.

My professional interests include full-stack software development from Python to TypeScript to Rust, developer workflow and internal tooling, distributed systems, and keeping satellite mission operations humming along.
